As its name states, the Jazzmaster was originally designed for jazz musicians, however, it was instead favoured by sixties surf-rock and then went on to be an indie rock icon. This Squier Affinity Jazzmaster HH is a stylish and versatile guitar that accommodates for a range of different styles.
With a lightweight alder body and a 'C' shaped maple neck, this Affinity Jazzmaster is a smooth and comfortable guitar that can be wielded throughout those long practice sessions. The Squier Jazzmaster is equipped with a pair of standard humbuckers that offer a fat, thick sound with plenty of clean tones, ideal for creating heavy rhythms.
The History of the Jazzmaster
First introduced at the 1958 NAMM Show with a great deal of chrome and controls, the Jazzmaster was originally designed for traditional jazz musicians. However, it soon found itself embraced by reverb-drenched surf guitarists in the '60s, lip-curling punks in the '70s and legions of alt-indie from the late '80s onwards. Fender's first dual-circuit instrument, the Jazzmaster provided a new level of versatility while the traditional wide and flat pickups produced a broad tonality with less bite and a subtler attack than most single-coil pickups. A first choice among players worldwide, there is nothing that can come close to the natural comfort remarkable tonal versatility and character the Jazzmaster guitar offers.
A Classic Fender Design
A solid alder body - Fender's tonewood of choice since the 50s. Alder delivers a balanced sound with a strong response and plenty of definition - perfect for rock and blues. The "C" shaped maple neck provides smooth, comfortable playability while the laurel fingerboard adds depth to the guitars tone. Furthermore, the 6 saddle bridge, plastic nut, and die-cast sealed tuners keep the guitar in tune for longer periods of time, perfect for long practice sessions.
Powerful Electronics
A set of powerful humbuckers give the guitar its beautifully crisp, booming sound. Offering a powerful Fender tone that is perfect for a wide range of musical styles. The three-position blade lets you switch between the two pickups, while the master volume and tone controls provide everything you need to find the sound for your playing style.
